IOWA COUNTY REAL ESTATE,
COMMUNITY INFORMATION, EVENTS, AND ATTRACTIONS

Iowa County is adjacent to the west side of Dane County.  It became a territorial county in 1829 and is named after the Iowa Indians whose hunting grounds dominated the area.  Its county seat is Dodgeville.  It is in the driftless region of the state, which means it remained untouched by glaciers, leaving the land in its natural state with wooded hillsides, rock outcroppings, fields and prairies.
